Ford Otosan is a major automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) based in Turkey, designing and producing heavy duty trucks, light/medium commercial vehicles, passenger vehicles and diesel engines for global markets.

Founded in 1959 as “Otosan A.S.”, it was the first automotive company in Turkey. Ford Otosan manufactured Turkey’s first in-house designed domestic passenger car, the “Anadol” in 1966, and first diesel engine, “Erk” in 1986. Ford Otosan is home to the largest R&D center in the Turkish automotive industry, with over 1,400 engineers developing advanced technologies and products. It is also the global design and engineering center for Ford’s heavy-duty commercial vehicles and diesel engines.
